Notaship Privacy Policy

Notaship is a personal organization application for iOS and iPadOS. This policy outlines our data handling practices to ensure your information remains secure and private.
Data We Collect
• Account Information: We collect your name and email address to create your account and facilitate secure sign-in via Apple, Google, or email.
• User Content: Your tasks, notes, checklists, goals, and links are encrypted on your device before being transmitted to our servers. We cannot access or read this data.
• Organization Data: We store information regarding item placement, dates, completion status, and app progress (e.g., trivia and story milestones) in an unencrypted format so the app can function effectively. This does not include your written text.
• Feedback: Any messages sent via our in-app form are delivered to our inbox along with your contact details so we may respond. These are handled by our email provider in transit.
Data We Do Not Collect
• Location: Notaship does not access your device’s GPS. You name and manage your own 'places' within the app.
• Media: Photos and videos attached to entries stay exclusively on your device. They are not uploaded or backed up to our servers. To protect your privacy, we strip camera metadata (including location tags) upon import.
Integrations & Services
• Calendar: With your permission, the app reads your local calendar to display events. This data is never uploaded or stored on our servers.
• Map Search: If enabled, address suggestions are provided via Apple’s map service. Your search queries are not sent to us, and saved addresses remain on your device.
• End-to-End Encryption: Your primary content is encrypted using a key derived from your account. We cannot decrypt this data for any reason. Note: Checklist titles remain unencrypted for scheduling purposes; please keep sensitive information within the checklist items.
Infrastructure & Partners
We host our data with Supabase in the United States (AWS us-west-2). Feedback emails are processed by Resend. We do not sell your personal data, host advertisements, or utilize third-party tracking or analytics SDKs.
Retention & Safety
• Deletion: Your data is kept while your account is active. You may permanently delete your account and all associated content via the in-app settings at any time.
• Children: Notaship is not intended for users under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
• Content Standards: All themed areas within the app (e.g., 'The Bar' or 'The Club') represent alcohol-free, all-ages virtual spaces.
